I spend at least 75% of my time in these games just shooting shit out of the air. If they have smaller maps that allow the flow to go faster this can be a lot more fun. Ground War has only been out today and there are hundreds if not thousands of players getting under the map, getting 30 kill streaks and nuking the game.
I was a little surprised that maxing out the graphics had this game running well around 150fps on my 2080. I just want to add the crossplay option was on by default for me Impressed thus far. CoD is suppose to be like an arcade game, fast paced. The time to kill seems pretty tight without being the one-shot kill situation you deal with in Battlefield thanks to snipers, but you and by you I mean me still wind up getting ganked from behind without any opportunity to react. The more I play the more I like it. The early Modern Warfare games are much better.

Early access begins Sep 19. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare comes out November 5. With heavier gunplay, rather than the crazy non stop sprinting shit that the more recents have become. Sticking Modern Warfare to this title doesn't make it a better game than its predeccesors and either does its up to date graphics. But these maps are… asshole. This is gonna be fantastic for the games population To my eyes the world and weapon blur are really well done in this game.

Inevitably one or multiple people end up with a killstreak chain that just ruins the match for everyone else because the bigger ones take a ton of damage and are basically omniscient so you never get more than one rocket off before being instantly killed by them. This is nothing like the old Modern Warfare games where people would run around like headless chickens and campers were dealt with asap. .

My thoughts: 1 Performance — running a 1070 at 3440×1440 so not expecting it to be 150 fps or anything but the best I can get is about 65-70fps with everything on low. I have a clip of of two players driving a fracking tank under the map and doing it. Firstly, there are some obvious bugs. You could be playing right now. Played a few hours of cross play today with a friend it works extremely well.
The maps are a bit meh but the gunplay is satisfying. Early access begins Sep 19. And Ground War is a poor mans conquest. It feels very much like a modern Call of Duty game, but the Modern Warfare setting gives it a certain freshness. Internet connection required and Xbox Live Gold subscription required. I think a 10-man without air support would be hella fun though. Limited time only, while Early Access Beta Codes last, at participating retailers.
Had to use Nvidia sharpening for the blurriness. I gave it a bit of a go myself last night, and came away feeling impressed. Would have liked to see how it performed before committing to purchase. Realism in video games never go well… especially for this. Performs decent — would like to see more optimization and settings. I wont be buying this. Minimum Open Beta duration is 2 days.
